Most contractors rely on plastic sheets that close with zippers or magnets, but this method has several drawbacks. These barriers can easily tear or shift, allowing dust to spread throughout your home. Plus, because the plastic is see-through, it fails to provide the privacy homeowners deserve during renovations.
That is why, here at KM BUILDERS, we are proud of the system we developed, a dust-controlled system that goes above and beyond typical industry practices.
Sealed Walls: We use high-quality lumber to build sturdy walls and apply a specialized covering called Tyvek. This innovative material acts as a filter, tightly sealing the wall frame to keep dust and debris contained within the construction area. Not only does this ensure your home stays clean, but it also provides added privacy throughout the remodeling process.
Lockable Doors: Our temporary walls are designed with lockable doors to provide an additional layer of security, ensuring dust remains contained within the construction area. We added an exterior door, allowing homeowners and the crew to remain separated during the project. We also place sticky mats near the entrances and add seals around the door for additional protection. This thorough approach keeps your home clean and your living spaces undisturbed.
HEPA-AIRE Filtration System: A highly effective filtration system that vacuums dust and debris from the air, keeping the home clean. The air quality remains excellent throughout the remodeling process thanks to this air-filtration system.
