  • Most likely not. In a large, nationwide buying co-op and as a dealer for many products, KM BUILDERS’ membership in CBUSA gives us access to lower, builder-only pricing, which we pass on to clients.

  • No, unless you choose to make changes to the original design, expand the scope of work, or request additional materials.

Warranty & Quality Assurance

  • KM BUILDERS provides a minimum 2-year workmanship warranty on all work, with longer warranties available (up to a lifetime workmanship warranty). Manufacturer warranties are also honored through strict installation specifications.

  • Yes. Our 2-year workmanship warranty covers installations such as windows, doors, and concrete. If an issue arises within the warranty period, we will fix it at no cost to the client.

Project Timeline & Logistics

  • Design phase: Client-driven, typically a few months

    Construction phase:

    • Small projects: -4+ weeks

    • Primary baths: 2-3 months

    • Kitchens: 2-4 months

    • Larger remodels: Timeline varies by project scope

    These are average timelines and project scopes. KM BUILDERS cannot guarantee each project will fall within these timelines.

  • Once designs are finalized, we order materials. Construction typically starts 2-3 weeks after the contract is signed.

    • Dust wall barriers: Temporary framed walls wrapped in Tyvek house wrap

    • Exterior Doors: Designed for job site access, these sealed doors allow our crew to enter without walking through your home, keeping your space private and minimizing dust.

    • Sticky mats & HEPA-AIRE filtration: Captures and removes airborne dust

Permits & Regulations

  • KM BUILDERS handles all permit applications, HOA approvals, and inspections, ensuring a hassle-free process.

  • Not always—some architects design without budget constraints in mind. Our design-build approach ensures your vision is both realistic and cost-effective, often for the same price or even less than traditional design methods.

Client Experience & Concerns

  • Depends on the scope of your project. Our dust control, separate entrances, and daily cleaning allow many clients to stay in their homes comfortably, however it is up to the clients discretion.
