Brass is Making a Comeback!
Brass is experiencing a major moment as one of 2024's most sought-after finishes. After years of playing second fiddle to matte black and stainless steel, the warm golden tones of brass are stepping into the limelight across lighting, plumbing, hardware, and kitchen and bath design.
Offering refinement with just enough edge, a brushed brass finish elevates everything it graces with an artisanal, Old World soul. Expect to see it shining within pendant lighting fixtures hovering over kitchen islands, pull handles accenting cabinet doors, and widespread bathroom faucets worthy of a spread in elite shelters mags
Beyond obvious backsplashes and hardware, don't overlook creative applications that let brass steal subtle focus. Try incorporating brass finishes on drawer glides, air switch buttons to control garbage disposals, or cabinet inserts behind glass doors. Utilize mixed metals by pairing brass lighting with black steel faucets and accessories for bold impact.
Or fully commit to surrounding yourself with brass's cozy, glamorous golden gleam. To emulate ultra-high-end showrooms, go for the full monochromatic look with brass kitchen sinks, pot fillers, cabinet hardware, and pendant lighting. Then, carry the theme into bathrooms via metallic mosaic tiles, tub fillers, mirror framing, and sconces.
