Home is such a special place to be. 

As the year comes to an end, we find ourselves reflecting on all the wonderful memories we made. For some of us, the best memories are made at home because at the end of the day, the number one place we want to be is home. Home is where we find comfort on our bad days and makes all of our good days even better. Home is where we feel warm and safe. Home is where we make all of our fondest memories. 

Home is where we made all of our best summer memories in our backyards with family barbecues and parties. As children, we spent countless hours in the pools soaking up every minute of the sun that we could before summer ended and we all had to go back to school. We made s'mores by the fire and laughed each time someone burnt their marshmallow.

Home is where we first learned how to cook. We would ask our moms, aunts, and grandmothers how they made our favorite meals so that one day we could make those same meals for our future families. Home is where we made cookies for holidays, sleepovers, and fun late-night snacks. Home is where our love for kitchen details like cabinetry, backsplashes, and kitchen islands was born because these are the details we saw in our mothers’ and grandmothers’ kitchens. 

Home is where we watched all of our favorite sports games, have endless movie marathons on weekends, and play family games from the comfort of our living rooms. The living room with the most comfortable couches. The kind of couch that makes you want to fall into a deep sleep as soon as you sit down.
