3 Popular Bathroom Remodeling Trends

Check out what features are dominating in bathroom designs so far in 2022.

When you’re scrolling through Pinterest to see what design elements you want to include in your bathroom remodel, we know it can be easy to get swept up in all the chic and trendy details. However, before you start adding every trendy design to your must-have list, you want to organize your wish-list with options that give you both eye-catching aesthetics and function. Here are three design trends that have been rising in popularity throughout 2022 that do just that and more.

New Vanity - Whether you’re upgrading from a single vanity to a double vanity or simply updating your current double vanity design, a new vanity is a must! A new vanity will provide you with more storage and organization for all your everyday items. Some of the organizational upgrades you can include are built-in electrical outlets and built-in drawer organizers. This really comes in handy to organize any hair tools, hair and skin products, or any other bathroom necessities. As a close second to new vanities, built-in storage units are also a popular upgrade to include in your bathroom remodel so you can have an everlasting clean and beautiful design.

Luxury Shower - There’s a strong debate about including a freestanding tub in your bathroom design or only including a walk-in shower. While having a freestanding tub will make your bathroom feel more spa-like, a luxurious walk-in shower seems to be the more prominent choice for bathroom designs. With dual shower heads, a steam shower system, and built-in shower bench, you can make your bathroom your favorite place to be.

Transitional Design Style - Clean cut modern and contemporary design styles use to rule the design world. However, now there’s a new bigger and better style that is taking the design world by storm: transitional style. Transitional style is a beautiful marriage between traditional charm and sleek modern designs. This new trend has a harmonious blend of warm, neutral hues, minimal accessories, and patterned textiles. So for your bathroom design, you’ll want to select muted neutral earth tones, a balanced mixture of wood, glass, and metal finishes or accessories, and a minimal accent decor that gives just the right amount of personality and character. And last but not least, texture! You’ll want to incorporate elements such as textured wall tiles or shiplap to give your bathroom that perfect, well-rounded design.
