Kitchen as the Heart

At the core of this renovation was the kitchen, designed around a striking 10-foot island with a jumbo slab that became both a focal point and functional gathering space. Reorienting the island to face the outdoor patio and pool enhanced the home's flow and connection to the outdoors, while custom cabinetry amplified the presence of the client's chosen appliances.

Indoor-Outdoor Connectivity

To further blend indoor and outdoor spaces, we opened the kitchen with glass doors and numerous windows, allowing natural light to flood the interiors and offering scenic views of the patio and pool. This integration created an elegant and serene atmosphere throughout the home.

Preserving Historical Character

The project was not without challenges. Our team reinforced weight-bearing walls, matched intricate crown moldings, and honored the home's legacy by incorporating original longleaf yellow pine floors in a stunning herringbone pattern.
